These trees are around 25 to 30 years old and have been repotted several times, most recently in March 2023.
Ranging from 6ft to 8ft high, not including the container and around 90cm diameter at the base of the tree.
Grows well in all soils and aspects but will not tolerate waterlogged ground.
Ready for planting out into the soil or can be kept in these containers for several more years, providing they are fed and watered correctly.
These would look great as an individual feature tree in a lawn or border, as a pair either side of a front door or gateway or several pairs could be used to form an avenue either side of a pathway.
Yew makes perfect topiary. It is slow growing and can be clipped tightly once or twice per year to produce a dense stable form which looks good all year around. Rich dark green leaves with beautiful bright red berries in Winter which look wonderful on a frosty day or with fairy lights at Christmas.
